Since the day they were first issued in 1878, Morgan Silver Dollars have captivated collectors and investors with their beautiful design and impressive size. Containing .77345 oz of pure silver, these coins were struck in large quantities until a hiatus in 1904 and were issued one final time in 1921, when the design was changed to the new “Peace” design.
Designed by George T. Morgan, these impressive silver coins were used extensively in commerce across the globe. Morgans were struck at all the US Mints: Philadelphia, New Orleans, San Francisco, Denver, and Carson City. Over the past 150 years, most have been heavily circulated or melted down, leaving a somewhat limited supply of Brilliant Uncirculated, or mint condition, examples. Some issues of Morgan Dollars can trade for well over a half-million dollars each because they’re so in demand from collectors trying to assemble complete sets of these coins.
Today, we feel that 1921 Morgan Silver Dollars in Mint condition are overlooked and undervalued in the coin market. They’re a great way to add leverage and diversity to silver portfolios since they have a large silver content; along with additional numismatic properties because of their age and high quality. Most importantly, prices can change rapidly when the price of silver spikes or when investor or collector demand outstrips the limited market supplies.
Each coin has been hand-selected by our team for exceptional eye appeal and they’re guaranteed to be in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. 1921’s can come from either Philadelphia, Denver, or San Francisco.
