• Saint Florian was a Christian holy man, and the patron saint of Linz, Austria; chimney sweeps; soapmakers, and firefighters. He started off as a Roman Soldier, working his way up to a Commander's Rank. In addition to his military duties, he was also responsible for organizing and leading firefighting brigades. Saint Florian died as a martyr for refusing to worship Roman Gods during the Roman persecution of Christians era.
