To highlight the original coin design, the Merrick Mint has clad the coin in entirety in 24K Gold with the JFK Portrait on the coin obverse and reverse, clad in Black Ruthenium. These uncirculated legal tender U.S. coins are not in general circulation and are not available in any bank. Each coin features the portrait in Black Ruthenium of John F. Kennedy design on the obverse and a modified presidential seal design on the reverse in Black Ruthenium. Each coin comes in an acrylic coin holder and includes a Full Color 2-sided Certificate of Authenticity. The 2023 Kennedy half dollar is a U.S. fifty cent coin with P mint mark.
